After our warm-up\, we will head as a group to a few businesses in town including the Ox Yoke Inn\, the Festhalle Barn\, and Hotel Millwright among others. \nEveryone is welcome to join in\, both to sing along or to walk with us and listen! DESCRIPTION:The Amana Family Tree Presents –Genealogy Week: This is My Story \n9AM\, March 4-8\, 2024 \n  \nJoin us each morning beginning March 4th in the Amana Heritage Museum Auditorium for a variety of talks and discussions about heritage in the Amana Colonies. Get a close look at specific people and families in this series of talks that will include 10 sessions – 2 each day – about a family member\, neighborhood\, or village. Light refreshments will be provided with discussion and mingling time will take place each day between sessions.  The final session of the week will be a panel discussion about memories of Upper South Amana.  Sessions will be recorded and posted on the Amana Heritage Society website in case you can’t make it.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Amana Heritage Musuem on Tuesday\, November 12th at 6pm for our 2nd Edition of Altes und Neues. 2024 AHS interns\, Jackson Kleinmeyer and Cooper Daugherty\, will join local researcher R.C. Eichacker to enlighten us on a number of topics related to their current projects. Jackson’s summer project was uncovering the corporate history of the Amana Society\, Inc. He is in the process of helping create a corporate archive at the Main Office that spans from the Great Change in 1932 to 1972. Cooper’s summer project was working in the museum archives and also at the Communal Kitchen Museum. He plans to attend college for museum studies and has gained great insight into Amana’s collections. Longtime AHS volunteer\, R.C.\, will share his research on Amana people through the years who served in the Navy\, Marines\, and Coast Guard.
