The story of an immigrant.” \n  \nJoin us for a live performance of “Death of an American Citizen Abroad\,” by playwright Janet Schlapkohl at the Amana Performing Arts Center on Saturday\, August 8\, 2026. Doors will open at 1:30pm and the show will begin at 2:00pm. Tickets are $20 per ticket\, or $15 per ticket for members of the Amana Heritage Society! \n  \nThis performance is a fundraiser for the Amana Heritage Society to help boost us into a series of performances that will happen annually at the Homestead Village Church Museum. We are in the process of revitalizing the space and we need your help and support to finish the project. \n  \nTickets can be purchased here!

The result is The Iowa Play—a gentle comedy in two acts by playwright Kathe Mull\, receiving its first public reading on Saturday\, October 10\, 2026\, at the Amana Performing Arts Center\, 39 38th Avenue\, Amana\, IA (across from the Amana RV Park). \nPresented by the Amana Heritage Society and TKM Theatrical Productions\, doors will open at 2:30 p.m.\, with the performance beginning at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at this link! \nTickets are $25 per person.
