Join Amana’s Bürgermeister, Jon Childers, and his crew for the OFFICIAL AMANA COLONIES OKTOBERFEST KEG TAPPING Pre-Party* and Parade** at the Amana Colonies Oktoberfest at the Festhalle Barn (Weather Update!) on Friday, October 2, 2026. Keg Tapping Tickets are only available for purchase in person beginning at 11am on Friday, October 2, 2026.
Keg Tapping Ceremony ticket sales benefit the Amana Heritage Society as a fundraiser to support the preservation and interpretation of the cultural heritage of the Amana Colonies, including over 60 years of Oktoberfest.
*Keg Tapping tickets are $5*** and require the purchase of admission to the Amana Colonies Oktoberfest – Ticket Sales for the Keg Tapping will take place at the Admission Booth at the Festhalle
*Keg Tapping tickets are limited and will go on sale at 11am at the Amana Colonies Oktoberfest Admission Booth at the Festhalle – we will be there to answer questions and give directions as needed
**The Walking Parade will begin at the Festhalle Barn if the weather allows! Gathering around the Bürgermeister Float will begin at the Amana Festhalle Barn at 1:30pm, and the Walking Parade will begin at 1:45pm. The Walking Parade will begin and end at the Amana Festhalle Barn; all are welcome to participate in the Walking Parade, but only Keg Tapping Ceremony Ticket Holders will be permitted re-entry to the Festhalle Grounds behind the Bürgermeister Float for the Ceremony.

-Keg Tapping Ceremony Ticket: $5 (requires an Amana Colonies Oktoberfest Admission Ticket)
~The Pre-Party has been relocated to the Amana Festhalle Barn at the Official Amana Colonies Oktoberfest Grounds for 2026 and Ceremony Tickets will be sold separately from Festhalle Admission at the entrance to the festival grounds. Cash and card will be accepted!
