Description
The Amana Heritage Society boasts over 1,000 pieces of media in its collection. From oral histories to historic church service to radio and television interviews, the museum has a wealth of information that is not easily accessible to members and visitors. As a strategic priority, AHS has already digitized two of its collections and is sending off a third collection soon. This Phase IV Project will include 250 reel to reel tapes of church services and community programs. There are also commercials and old 16MM films that will be digitized in this final phase. Past phases of media digitization have helped preserve hundreds of voices and stories from the past.
